Due Date!

So today is my due date which is a good milestone but I don't expect Kennadi to come today. I went to the doctor and I am making progress which is a great sign. I have been having sporadic contractions but they are still pretty spaced apart. They are getting more painful though which is also a good sign! So we could have a baby tomorrow but we could also have a baby in a week. For those who don't know me well, I hate surprises and I love planning ahead, so not knowing is killing me. But I am glad Chris is back, he is more anxious than I am to have the baby out:) We have been doing lots of walking to hopefully get her moving although I need to take it easy as every joint in my body is twice the size it used to be! If Kennadi is too comfortable and decides not to come on her own, they will induce me next Friday night, lets hope that is not the case, but at least there is a definate end in sight:)

Well there is nothing new here right now. I am growing increasingly uncomfortable and tired and definitely anxious. My birthday was great, I had lunch with a few friends and just had a realxing day. I am very relieved that Kennadi did not decide to arrive on my birthday, as much as I want to meet her, I am not ready yet. Chris arrives home tomorrow evening so I am very excited to see him, it will be another huge relief to have him home. As soon as he gets here we will be ready for Kennadi to come and will probably get more impatient everyday as well:)

Update

I had my 38 week appointment today and everything looks good. Kennadi is growing well and sounded fine. I have not made any progress so hopefully she will hang on for another week. My doctor said that since she is my first I will probably have to be induced, we will see!

Just wanted to post an update. Nothing is new here, we are still just waiting. Chris is finishing up his training next week and will be home so that will be a relief. Kennadi is still comfortable where she is and doesn't seem to be in a hurry to leave which is also good! I will post an update on here as soon as something does happen so that everyone knows what is going on and we can relax and not have the phone ringing off the hook:) Not to say that you can't call of course, but I can't guarantee I won't turn the ringer off so I don't go crazy;) I hope everyone is doing well and I will keep you all updated!

As of Friday I was 37 weeks which means full term! If Kennadi decided to come today she wouldn't be premature which is a good milestone to hit. She is growing fast and quickly taking over a lot of space. I no longer feel kicks because she is out of space, I just feel movement and her pushing out as if she is trying to get out anyway she can. It's interesting.

Below is a picture of Missouri during our latest snow storm. It looks nice, but don't be fooled this has all turned into ice now and that means that running is one less thing that we can do here. The best part is that we get to go "camp out" in this stuff for a week. Things aren't all that bad I guess. I mean, I'm getting paid to do nothing but work out 2-3 times a day. It's a great time. Almost broke my nose again and I am starting to get cauliflower ear. Kayla will be excited to see that.

Update and Kennadi's Room

For those of you who are counting we are 25 days away from the due date! It has flown by, I can't believe it. I had a doctors appointment today and everything looks good, she is measuring perfectly and is positioned head down which is great. I finally finished her room, thanks to my dad who put up the blackout shades this weekend. Pictures of the nursery are below.
