Time Flies
Kennadi is over 8 weeks old, it is hard to believe. She has grown so much and changed so much I hardly remember her being small. She has been spending more time playing and less time needing to be held which is great, she is cooing a lot and smiling more also. At night she is still up every 2 to 3 hours to eat but will occasionally go for 4 hour stretches also. I am working on trying to get her to go back to sleep when she wakes up rather than feeding her right away so that she can sleep for longer stretches, it only works sometimes:)
Tummy Time- she lifts herself up for a few minutes now
This swing is a lifesaver, my neighbor Stephanie let us borrow it and Kennadi loves it, I love it even more! It works most of the time during her fussy times when she doesn't really know what she wants, she will lay in it awake for a long time and sleep as well, it's wonderful and I hope it continues to soothe her.
Her other favorite place to sleep is her carseat, when she is fussy and overly tired it works to cover her up and swing the seat till she falls asleep, I think she is comfortable when she is snug and not flat on her back.

Dad's finally home from work, everyone is happy
You wanted to see my cute belly for this photo shoot right mom?
When the camera comes out she immediately starts making faces, it's hilarious, she is a ham

More Pictures
7 Weeks old already!
When dad's in charge:
We went to our friend's house to play in the kiddie pool, Kennadi didn't go in the water but she hung out in her little bathing suit

So tired
Kennadi's friend Payton. Payton is 6 weeks older, we can't wait till they are old enough to actually play together:)
We went and hung out at our neighborhood pool
Happy morning: She is always happy when we wake up and she lays in bed with us, she loves the light coming through the window and stares at it all morning.
We had a full day with no sleep so finally I strapped her to my chest and she hung out while I did housework, finally the vacum put her to sleep

6 Weeks
I haven't had a chance to post in a while so I will add a bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks. Not much has changed, we are getting into more of a schedule but Kennadi still fights sleep like crazy. I have tried everything and no matter what getting her to sleep is a battle. Eventually she just gets tired enough and cries and fusses till she falls asleep. Then she wakes up every few minutes after that until she finally gives up and is out for a while. But I have gotten used to no sleep so nights aren't so bad anymore.
She is so much more alert and smiley now it is a ton of fun when she is happy. She still loves taking baths, last night she was fussing and the minute her foot hit the water she stopped and was fine till after her bath, it was pretty funny, if I could I would let her be in the bath all day:) She has started to suck on her fingers more now, if she isn't eating or sleeping she has her fingers in her mouth, sometimes she tried to get her whole fist in her mouth and she gets frustrated because she hasn't quite figured out how to suck her fingers yet.
This weekend we left her with someone other than family for the first and second time. My neighbor Stephanie watched her while I went to the doctor and our friend Melissa watched her Saturday while we were at Chris's grappling tournament. It was nice to leave her for a while and trust the people we left her with so I didn't have to worry. Thanks to you both!
This summer we were thinking we might be able to go to New York with family but it doesn't look like that is going to work out so we don't really have much planned. We will probably make it up to Mammoth a couple of times which will be nice because we can escape the heat! I hope everyone else has a fun summer planned! I can't wait to get Kennadi in the pool here when she a little older, she already has 2 bathing suits and a floater with a shade so now all she has to do is grow into them! This week I will try to post some videos, until then, take care!
